We can walk together in the magnificent site of ancient Olympia, admire the findings in the Museums.  Packed lunch will allow us to spend more time at the sites and also to enjoy at ease dinner by the sea on our way back to Patras.

Ancient Elis has got a long history associated with the Olympic Games. Did you know that well preserved replica of the Parthenon built by the same architect  is situated  in Pelopnnesse?   Get the best of ancient time by visiting the exquisit  Apollo Temple in Fygaleia and combine the trip  with a stroll by the mythical bancs of river Neda (the only  river in Greece with a feminine name).                                                           (Daytrip to Fygaleia and river Neda)

Join us to Delphi over the Rio – Antirrio bridge, listen to Pythia’s oracle, wander among the marvellous ruins and admire after lunch the Coachman in the museum. Picturesque Nafpaktos will host us for dinner before coming back to Patras crossing from Antirrio on an old romantic ferry.

We will reach the martyr town of Kalavryta travelling on the furnicular through the Vouraikos gorge and visit the historic monastery of Mega Spilaio. (please bear in mind that women are not allowed in trousers in monasteries). Packed lunch will permit more time to walk in the city, visit the historic monastery of Agia Lavra or the place of Sacrifice. The follow up will be, according to the group’s interests as well as road accessibility, a choice between visiting: – either the picturesque little church of Plataniotissa standing in the huge trunk of a plane-tree, as well as the nearby little church with the amazing frescoes and stopping for dinner on the way back at the covered with trees village of Fteri,
